THINK BLOG: Micro Swabs

WHY ARE MICRO SWABS SO IMPORTANT WHEN APPLYING TOOTH GEMS?

Cross Contamination

It is important to change micro swabs every time you use a different adhesive. Since tooth gem application requires the use of 3 different adhesives you'll need a minimum of 3 micro swabs during each appointment. This allows each product to work at its best without mixing the formulas. Lastly, a 4th micro swabs can be used to clean around the tooth gem before you apply your final cure. All micro swabs should be disposed of and only used for 1 client and 1 adhesive. This prevents cross contamination and follows public health guidelines.

Accurate Placement

Since micro swabs are so tiny, they offer the most accurate placement available. The fuzzy tip helps the adhesives absorb quickly and dispense on the tooth evenly.

Minimal Product

You won't waste any of your adhesives (since the tip of a micro swab is so small) it can only hold a drop of bond, etch and composite, which is the perfect amount needed!

I hope this blog helps you understand the importance of micro swabs!
