THINK BLOG: Tooth Gem Placement

THINK BLOG: Tooth Gem Placement

IMPROVE YOUR BUSINESS AND AVOID THESE ISSUES WHEN YOU APPLY TOOTH GEMS TO YOUR CLIENTS TEETH.

1. Receding Gums

A receding gum line is the most important issue we want to avoid because this can result in the client needing a gum graft. We talk a lot about gum grafts and how to treat them in our classes so that our students understand the severity of accurately placing a tooth gem. When the gums feel a tooth gem is to close, our bodies naturally try to protect itself. The gums begins to pull away from the tooth gem causing a receding gum line.

2. Increase longevity

When you place a tooth gem on the curve of a tooth that can effect the longevity of a tooth gem. Tooth gems should last 3-12 months, with bad placement a tooth gem can fall off the same day.

3. Interference with eating

This tip can also effect the longevity because eating with a tooth gem that is placed in the wrong area can cause it to fall off. It can also cause cavities since food can get stuck under the gem. It is important to create a seal around the tooth gems to avoid food getting stuck underneth it.

Our most important job is to protect the health of ours clients teeth. Practice accurate placement and you will avoid all these issues.

I hope this helps you with tooth gem placement!
